April 9

This week is the opening week for the MAP test. Remember if you are enthusiastic and excited over our students being able to show and represent their learning on the MAP test, students will feed off your energy and apply that energy when they sit to test. We want all students to do well not only to showcase their learning for the year, but to also showcase the hard work you have put into teaching our students this year.

Operational

Thank you all for your willingness to engage as SPS set the path forward for Proposition S. With your help in communicating to our families, votes, and dedicated time Proposition S passed with 77.67% approval. We are grateful to our community for their continued support for our schools. Please tell community members thank you. Because Prop S directly affects Pershing, I am in communication with our SPS Senior Leadership to line out next steps. I hope to provide that information soon.

Professional Learning Day: April 21st is a professional learning day. We will tie our April staff meeting into this day. This will be held 8:30-3:30 in the Library. A detailed email of the specific times will come out this week.
