Instructional
PLT Team Meetings:

We are moving from Question 1 to Question 2 of the PLC Questions.

What do we want our kids to learn? (Essential Standards, Guaranteed and Viable Curriculum)

How do we know they learned it? ( Data, Common Formative Assessments, Formatives, Summative)
What do we do when they don’t? (Interventions-Tier 2 and Tier 3)
What do we do when they do? (Extensions and Enrichments)

This week's instructional focus will be on learning objectives and how are we chunking our students learning to maximizes mastery of standards. We are also looking for positive reinforcement of learning.

Objectives should be posted somewhere permanently in the room and those objectives should be referred to often to maximize student learning.

Nov. PBIS SLIDES

Team meeting with Rachel Bodoin

Jordan from PBIS will be here to meet with teams about building data and classroom strategies to maximize a positive classroom environment.

We teach bell to bell everyday. We can not get into the habit of taking days off instructionally. We want to keep the academic focuses and rigor going strong throughout our building. The #1 factor to keeping discipline down in your classroom is high levels of teaching and learning everyday.

Learning Walks
On Dec 13th, Dec 14, and Dec 20 we will have Learning Walks to observe our colleagues as they teach. The goal is to learn, uplift, and validate our colleagues for the amazing things they are doing in their classroom everyday. This will be done with a member of Admin team during PLT time. The form being used can be found HERE. We will come to you and take you on the visit.

Operational

Supervision:
Remember it is the building expectation that we are at our supervision stations on time and supervising kids. If you for any reason need to miss your duty or absent, it is your responsibility to find a replacement for you. We understand that things come up, so please let a member of admin know. This can be done by trading with a colleague or writing it into sub plans.
